Continuing Education Credits
Credit Information:
AAC Talks is a web‑based conference conducted via live webinar sessions. To ensure accurate attendance tracking and eligibility for continuing education credit, please review the participation requirements carefully.
Accessing the Conference Sessions:
Registered participants will receive an email a few days before the conference with details on how to access session handouts, Zoom links, evaluations, etc.
Attendance Requirements for Credit:
To be eligible for Act 48 hours, certificates of attendance, and all other credit types (e.g., ASHA, ACVREP, BCBA, OT, PT, Infant/Toddler hours, and School Psych), participants must meet ALL of the following requirements for each session attended:
- Log in on time using the session‑specific Zoom link provided in Events and remain in the session for the entire duration. Each session (including the keynote) has a separate webinar link.
- Complete the session attendance verification survey in Events for every session attended by 11:59 PM on May 13.
Note: Credit is awarded on a per‑session basis. Participants must meet all requirements for each individual session they wish to receive credit for.
Continuing education credits available for this webinar include:
- Act 48 (up to 5 hours) - Continuing Education credits for individuals who hold a Pennsylvania Department of Education Certificate (i.e., teacher or education specialist) will be awarded on a per-session basis.
- ACVREP (up to 5.25 hours) - Continuing Education credits for individuals who hold an ACVREP certificate (i.e., Orientation & Mobility) will be awarded on a per-session basis.
- Psych (up to 5.25 CPDs) - The Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology to offer continuing education for psychologists on a per session basis.
- ASHA (up to .5 CEUs) - Continuing education credits for individuals who hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) will be awarded on a per-session basis. Participants must complete the survey at the completion of the event in order to receive credits. This credit type is applicable for PA state licensure and maintenance on the ASHA CE registry.
- Infant/Toddler Staff Training Hours (up to 5 hours) EI Staff Training hours are available for those participants who work in the Infant Toddler Early Intervention system. To receive training hours, individuals must follow the same procedures as outlined above for Act 48 Clock Hours, complete all evaluation surveys, and submit them by the designated deadline.
- Certificates of Attendance may be retrieved from the PaTTAN Registration system(formerly WisdomWhere), approximately 30 days after the close of the conference.
- PT (up to 5.25 hours) – Continuing education contact hours for Physical Therapy Practitioners (PTPs) licensed in Pennsylvania will be awarded on a per-session basis. This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy. Participants must complete all required evaluations and attendance verification in order to receive credit.
Following the event, you will receive an email confirmation that the ACT 48 credits were submitted. You will not receive a confirmation for ASHA credits. Please allow a minimum of 60 days for your ASHA CEUs to show on the ASHA CE Registry.
