This session is for school-based multi-disciplinary teams at a variety of stages with the implementation of MTSS and use of RTI for SLD, including currently implementing, recalibrating, initially implementing, or are exploring the use of RTI for SLD. Content for this session will provide an overview of RTI for SLD model implementation. Participating teams will assess their current level of implementation of RTI methodology to identify Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and identify resources to assist with action planning.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Name the stage(s) of implementation in which their school team is currently functioning regarding the use of RTI for identifying SLD
- List the action steps best aligned to their school team’s current implementation stage to move toward full implementation of RTI for SLD
- Identify resources to support their school/LEA in their RTI for SLD implementation journey.
Target Audience
School Psychologists, Supervisors of Pupil Services, Administrators, Educational Specialists, Pupil Services Personnel, IU TaC, Regular Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers and Related Service Providers
