This recorded presentation provides a brief historical overview of the factors that led to the adoption of UEB and contrasts key features of the braille codes currently used for math and technical content in the United States.

A Quick Pick is a mini training module teachers can access on their own time and work through at their own pace. This Quick Pick is focused on alphabet knowledge. Teachers will gain an understanding of the alphabetic principle, how alphabet knowledge is a key component of early literacy development, and instructional practices to help foster alphabet knowledge in the classroom.
