This session will include the most important things for you to know when providing Early Intervention services to the family of a child with a hearing difference. You will be provided with resources and information to make sure our children in PA with a hearing diagnosis maximize their language acquisition, develop strong bonds with family, caregivers and friends through a shared language, and develop a family toolkit of resources that benefit children with hearing concerns.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Identify key strategies for supporting families of children with hearing differences in Early Intervention.
- Understand the importance of early language access and shared communication for child development and strong family relationships.
- Implement practical resources and tools to help families build language, connections, and ongoing support systems.
