These sessions will continue the conversation around literacy at the secondary level and how to support teachers and systems in fostering an environment that ensures all secondary students have access to achieve the literacy abilities they need to thrive—across content areas, throughout their academic journeys, and beyond! Using a summary of the most pressing needs and promising practices shared, the group will participate in thoughtful discussion, professional learning, and the implementation of and feedback on evidence-based literacy practices at the secondary level. The work of the group will be used to inform future professional learning for secondary educators across Pennsylvania in the years to come.

Target Audience

Focus Group as identified by instructors: secondary content teachers, TaC Consultants, Secondary Administrators, Secondary Instructional Coaches Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event.
