This training will cover each lens of the FPR, including an overview of requirements for documentation, goal writing, progress monitoring, and exit/transition planning. We will discuss common questions like “What data should we include in the document?” and “What do we do if the parent is not available to meet?”
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify when the FPR is required to take place, who is required to attend each meeting, and what documentation is required.
- Describe what information must be included in each FPR.
- Describe interventions offered by their AEDY Program or LEA and identify which interventions are appropriate for individual students.
- Determine if behavior goals are SMART, appropriate for AEDY, or need to be revised.
- Participate fully in the FPR process at each stage, including providing input and answer questions from students and families during the FPR meetings.
- Identify appropriate exit/transition strategies, interventions, and timelines for students returning to the sending LEA.
