This presentation will assist practitioners with writing legally defensible IEP goals, per guidance of the Endrew case, as well as developing ambitious and challenging IEP goals to support student experiences and outcomes. Additionally, this presentation provides further assistance to practitioners regarding writing cohesive IEP plans that connect the present level of performance, annual IEP goals, special education services, and accommodations and modifications.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify policies and procedures for supporting students with disabilities in virtual environments, set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Bureau of Special Education
- Access and describe the educational resources provided by PaTTAN for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
- Describe evidence-based strategies and practices for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
Target Audience
General and Special Education Teachers, School Psychologist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Administrators, Principals, other administrators.
