About the Camp
Code Carnival! Where computer science takes a ride! This three-and-a-half day camp will take place at PaTTAN Central (Harrisburg) alongside the National Autism Conference and is designed for college-bound high school students on the autism spectrum. The CSinPA Code Carnival Summer Camp is an exciting, hands-on computer science (CS) experience. Campers will explore how CS is used to make amusement parks work, tour Hershey Park, and engage in fun computer science activities!
CSinPA Code Carnival! Is brought to you in partnership with the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN), a project of the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Special Education. In addition to the intentional planning and design of camp activities, camp staff are specially trained by PaTTAN education consultants on the unique needs of students with autism. There is no cost to participate.

The National Autism Conference Committee is offering childcare reimbursement for families with children 5 years of age or younger who attend the conference either in-person or virtually.
Guidance for reimbursement:
- Child caregiver reimbursement is available for families with children 5 years of age or younger.
- Child caregiver reimbursement is provided for both in-person and virtual attendance at the National Autism Conference where it would be expected that families participate without their children.
- The allowable rate for childcare is $15.00 an hour, up to 10 hours a day.
- This is per family not per child.
- Reimbursement can include the time of the event, as well as reasonable travel time before or after the event (to drop off or pick up a child from the location of caregiver.) But cannot exceed 10 hours a day. ·
- Child caregiver could include: a family member, friend, or a childcare agency/provider.
- We cannot reimburse primary caregivers for childcare. This includes custodial family members.
- A name and signature of the care giver is required documentation.
- Please complete the attached form after the event and submit no later than September 5, 2024.
The attached form is the required documentation for reimbursement. Where to submit the form is at the top of the form. Reimbursement is through Early Intervention Technical Assistance and the payment will come from their fiscal office, the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit. Please watch for that check.
