Session Description:
This training will provide practical strategies for integrating Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) into the classroom. Participants will explore AAC fundamentals, identify barriers to use, and implement strategies to enhance student engagement. Emphasis will be placed on providing an AAC environment that supports academic and social success, empowering students to communicate effectively across settings.

  • Identify common challenges to AAC implementation and develop strategies to support consistent and effective use in the classroom.

Presenter Stacey Raijski smilingStacey Raijski, MS CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with experience working with students from birth to 21 years old. She is part of the TaC (Training and Consultation) department at LIU 18, providing consultations and SETT meetings in assistive technology.
