Discover how the Tactile Graphic Image Library (TGIL) can support the creation of high-quality tactile graphics for students who are blind or visually impaired. Participants will explore the library’s features, learn strategies for selecting and adapting graphics, and examine considerations for producing meaningful tactile materials. Through facilitated discussions and networking, practical examples and resources will be shared to help materials specialists create tactile graphics that are clear, accessible, and instructionally relevant.
Objectives:
- Select appropriate tactile graphics based on student needs and instructional goals.
- Apply best practices for adapting and producing tactile graphics using TGIL resources.
- Apply strategies for integrating TGIL resources into local workflows for accessible materials production.
