Join fellow special educators to explore practical tools and strategies designed to increase student engagement and active participation in learning. Participants will examine resources that support motivation, communication, choice-making, and meaningful interaction with grade-level content. Through real-world examples, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities, educators will share successful practices and identify tools that can be immediately implemented to foster engagement, independence, and meaningful learning for all students, including students with significant cognitive disabilities.

Objectives:

• Identify and discuss tools and strategies that foster active student participation and engagement during instruction.
• Evaluate resources that support communication, choice-making, collaboration, and learner independence.
• Apply engagement strategies within daily instruction to increase student participation and support positive learning outcomes.
