This 5-module course will focus on integrating technology for blind and low vision students including those who are deaf-blind. Each module will be comprised of a recorded and live session.
Module Topics:
- FVLMtA: How to link evaluation data to students’ needs for technology
- Needs assessment and writing technology goals for the IEP
- Dueling Devices: How to select and justify appropriate technology for students
- How to Scale up Students’ Digital Literacy Skills
- How to Teach for Conceptual Understanding
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Link evaluation data to students’ needs for technology
- Use task analysis to write technology goals for the IEP
- Justify appropriate technology for students
- List ways to scale up student's digital literacy skills
- Describe conceptual understanding

Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, AT TaC, Educators who work with students who are blind or visually impaired
