This session will feature tips, strategies, and tools educators can apply to better empower family members in support of their child’s online/hybrid instruction. COVID 19 demands are altering educator roles, particularly in collaboration with parents and other family members. Learn ways to proactively engage family members including legal obligations outlined under Commonwealth and federal guidelines.

Identify policies and procedures for supporting students with disabilities in virtual environments, set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Bureau of Special Education
- Access and describe the educational resources provided by PaTTAN for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
- Display knowledge of evidence-based strategies and practices for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
Target Audience
General and Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Administrators, Principals, other administrators.
