On this day of our event, participants will receive state and national updates related to programs and services for students who are blind or have low vision, deaf or hard of hearing, and deafblind, as well as broader PaTTAN updates relevant to their work. Participants will explore the considerations, processes, and time involved in making learning accessible for students who are blind or have low vision and apply their knowledge to real-world educational scenarios involving students with sensory disabilities. Facilitated discussion will provide additional opportunities to share challenges, successes, and priorities with colleagues. The day will conclude with reflection on key learning and takeaways from the first half of the retreat.

Participants will be able to:

• Describe key state and national updates impacting programs and services for students who are blind or have low vision, deaf or hard of hearing, and deafblind.
• Identify considerations and processes involved in creating accessible learning materials and experiences for students who are blind or have low vision.
• List factors to consider when making supervisory decisions related to services for students who are blind or have low vision, deaf or hard of hearing, and deafblind.
