Aggression Replacement Training (ART) is a structured, evidence-based program designed to help individuals—often youth—reduce aggressive and antisocial behavior. It focuses on building prosocial skills through three core components: social skills training, anger control training, and moral reasoning. Participants learn how to replace aggressive responses with constructive behaviors, manage emotional triggers, and make more ethical decisions.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify appropriate ways to communicate, resolve conflict, and interact positively with others.
  • Demonstrate how to assist individuals in recognizing triggers, managing emotional responses, and applying coping strategies in place of aggression.
  • Identify strategies to strengthen decision-making by fostering empathy, accountability, and consideration of consequences.
