Given the requirement for an interagency staff training approach under Employment First, this pre-conference session is designed to provide local teams the opportunity to learn about successful implementation of regional collaborative working relationships and examine practices to support program sustainability. Teams will learn about collaborative partnerships from the Pennsylvania Department of Education – Bureau of Special Education, Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs to support students with disabilities in competitive integrated employment.
Objectives
- Identify successful implementation practices from across the state
- Discuss and implement sustainability practices
- Explore opportunities for continuous improvement and action planning at the local level
Target Audience
Intermediate Unit Transition Staff or other Identified IU Staff, OVR Counselors, ODP Supports Coordinators, and County Employment Leads
