17. Using the Classroom Assistance Tool: Empowering Teachers and Strengthening Systems
Session Dates
Wednesday March 01, 2023 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Webinar
Closed
Teachers have significant influence over their classroom, and in result, the ability to impact student outcomes. Both appropriate and inappropriate behavior occurs because of the interactions between the physical environment, student and teacher characteristics, the curriculum, and the instructional teaching strategies utilized. Creating an effective classroom management system that promotes student engagement, teaches and reinforces appropriate behavior, and builds positive student-teacher relationships is essential for success. This session will provide information on how to use a problem-solving process to self-assess and identify what is needed to develop an effective classroom management system, using the Classroom Assistance Tool (CAT).
Target Audience
General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Debra Jordan, at [(610) 878-7224, or
