Customized Professional Development and Technical Assistance

Our vision is to provide accessible, customizable, and evidence-based professional development and technical assistance to educators, with the goal of improving outcomes for students with disabilities. By collaborating with our IU partners,  LEAs, researchers, and other stakeholders, we seek to develop and implement effective strategies that bridge the gap between research and practice, and that promote the professional growth and retention of special education teachers. Through these efforts, we aim to create a more equitable and inclusive education system that meets the needs of all learners.

The presentation archive discussing the IDEA-B funded customized supports for the 2023-2024 school year is now available. This presentation provides detailed information about the various supports and how districts can benefit from them.

Professional Development Customized Supports - allow districts to request specific training or technical assistance that addresses a particular challenge or area of need. We will work with you to design a training plan that meets your unique requirements and aligns with your district's goals and objectives.

Autism Initiative Systemic Supports 2024-2025 School Term (New & Existing Sites) - provide a system of training and on-site consultation that facilitates district/LEAs with the implementation of evidence-based practices targeted toward the promotion of effective instructional practices.  The PaTTAN Autism Initiative (PAI) disseminates information and implements technical assistance to help teachers / sites advocate core skills for students across the full range of the autism spectrum, regardless of placement.  This system of training occurs throughout the school year to build the internal capacity within districts/LEAs.
