In this interactive training, participants will explore the critical role of session targets within the Family Guided Routines Based Intervention (FGRBI) framework. The training will unpack how session targets serve as intentional, focused steps that support a child’s meaningful participation in everyday routines while aligning with family priorities and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) outcomes.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Define what a session target is within the context of FGRBI and explain how it supports the child’s participation in everyday routines.
  • Identify the connection between a session target and the IFSP outcome, including how the target represents a small, observable step toward achieving the broader outcome..
  • Describe how session targets are selected based on family priorities, ensuring that intervention is meaningful and embedded in routines that matter most to the family.
  • Describe how a child’s developmental level informs the selection of session targets, ensuring that targets are achievable and promote skill progression.
