The training is designed to support early intervention staff to transfer their knowledge and skills in use of evidence-based prompting procedures to classroom paraprofessionals and other EI program professionals, with a focus on teaching young children with autism spectrum disorder. Teams will complete action plans for teaching prompting procedures to targeted EI program staff.
Objectives
- Identify evidence based adult learning practices and concepts for application to Teach Back action planning.
- Develop and implement “teach back” plans to transfer knowledge/skills of prompting procedures to EI program staff and classroom team.
- Use fidelity measures to guide instruction to classroom team members about implementing evidence based prompting procedures (teach back).
Target Audience
Early Childhood Special Educators, Early Intervention SLPS, Preschool Supervisors, Early Intervention Education Consultants (teams part of the Autism Agreement)
