Session Dates

This event is by invitation only. You must have a registration key in order to register.
This session will prepare participants to facilitate the plan development portion of the Prevent Teach Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) process with a team, utilizing forms and fidelity checklists to guide the process. Conducting assessments in this systematic way will lead teams to identify and implement strategies to prevent challenging behavior, teach alternative behavior and reinforce desired replacement behavior. Participants will have an opportunity to practice facilitating the steps and using the forms to develop a behavior plan, support and monitor implementation and progress, and make data-based team decisions regarding next steps.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Create and use a data collection system to measure the target behavior
- Identify intervention strategies and develop positive behavior support plan with the team that is linked to information obtained from assessment
- Develop system to monitor implementation and progress, using data to make informed decisions about next steps
Target Audience
This training is for Early Intervention staff and early childhood staff who lead the process of completing functional behavior assessments and facilitating the development and implementation of individualized behavior support plans.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Molly Martz, at 717-901-2151, or
