25. An Overview of Prevent, Teach, Reinforce Options for Early Childhood

This session will describe the Prevent, Teach, Reinforce models for Early Childhood which include the classroom based model of Prevent, Teach, Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) and the home and community based model of Prevent, Teach, Reinforce for Families (PTR-F). PTR-YC and PTR-F are manualized systems of Functional Behavior Assessment and Positive Behavior Support Planning for toddlers and preschool age children. Participants will learn what might be expected of them if they participate in a PTR-YC or PTR-F team as well as how they can learn more about the processes.

- Administrators
- Educators, including early childhood educators
- Behavioral specialists (school counselors, school psychologists, special educators)
- Behavioral and mental health providers
- Emotional Support teachers
- Emotional Support paraprofessionals
- Parents/families
