The University of Denver will present this training centered on how the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) supports the inclusion and belonging of children with disabilities from birth to school age in the early childhood settings selected by their families. In the second webinar in the series, we will guide participants to embed inclusive engagement and instructional strategies into natural routines and activities that ensure joyful learning for all children across developmental domains.
Objectives:
Participants will:
- Define inclusive engagement as cornerstones to learning for young children with disabilities.
- Define joyful learning as a cornerstone to learning for young children with disabilities.
- Describe strategies to embed inclusive engagement and joyful learning into natural early childhood routines and activities including predictable routines, purposeful activity development, narrating play, least to most prompting and connection over compliance/control.
- Identify strategies in case studies that can be used in application for children birth to school age.

Preschool and Infant Toddler Early Intervention Professionals including teachers, therapists, and special instructors; Early Intervention Leaders; Early Childhood Education professionals
