In this presentation, participants will explore the Pyramid Model - framework of evidence-based practices that support the social, emotional, and behavioral development of young children. The session will guide attendees through the model’s tiered approach. Through engaging discussions, video examples, and visual aids, participants will gain practical strategies to foster positive relationships, create supportive environments, and use data to guide decision-making. Emphasis will be placed on promoting children's emotional expression and self-regulation through effective classroom-wide practices. The session will also highlight the importance of collaboration among caregivers, educators, and professionals in supporting children who need more. A variety of state and national resources will be shared to help families and professionals strengthen behavioral supports across home, school, and community settings.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Explain Pyramid Model Practices to support social, emotional, and behavioral development of young children.
- identify the Pyramid Model framework/tiers and resources to support children across all settings.
- Explain, collaborate and coach other adults in implementing Pyramid Model Practices that support children’s social emotional development.
Target Audience
Infant Toddler and Preschool Early Intervention Providers, Educators, Therapists and Home Visiting/Family Support staff.
