Students with acquired brain injury need additional support as they consider and transition to college or other work after high school. This presentation will provide participants with the underlying basis for and methods used when coaching adolescents. Common executive function and social challenges will be reviewed and coaching techniques and tools for supporting these will be provided. Participants will also learn to coach self-advocacy by fostering self-awareness and having team support. Case examples will be used throughout the presentation.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify how coaching helps educators prepare students with brain injury for a transition to college;
- Learn how the methods used when coaching executive functions help students become more independent;
