This event is by invitation only. You must have a registration key in order to register.
This session will discuss the first chapter of the graphic novel Power On! by Jane Margolis and Jean J. Ryoo with other CS educators in Pennsylvania. You will be able to collaborate with other CS educators on how you can incorporate the book into your classroom and/or professional learning in your LEAs.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Create a community of CS educators to collaborate on incorporating novels into CS classrooms.
- Articulate the need for CS education in our communities by describing real-life examples and applications.
- Explain the challenges underrepresented populations face in CS.
Target Audience
District Administrators, Principals, School Counselors, School Librarians, K-12 General Ed, Special Education and English Language Learner teachers, anyone interested in K-12 Computer Science in Pennsylvania
