In celebration of School Library Month, this session will focus on unplugged computer science (CS) activities, including reading about CS. In small groups, participants will explore CS readings and unplugged resources in the CSinPA toolkits and discuss ways to use them to engage students.

Objectives

At the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Identify statewide goals for CS education in Pennsylvania
  • Discuss local CS education initiatives and priorities
  • Describe and develop individual goals for engaging in and supporting CS education

Target Audience

District Administrators, Principals, School Counselors, School Librarians, K-12 General Ed, Special Education and English Language Learner teachers, anyone interested in K-12 Computer Science in Pennsylvania
