2023 Pennsylvania Department of Education (Virtual) Conference
22. Resolving the DEI Conflict
Session Dates
Thursday March 02, 2023 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM - Webinar
Closed
Many leaders care deeply about their community, but struggle with how to best address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Some fear they might even make things worse if they try. Others have experienced the escalation of conflict that commonly occurs when trying to implement initiatives. In this session, author Floyd Cobb, Ph.D., helps participants quiet the noise that surrounds DEI in order to gain clarity of its function. Reframing DEI as conflict-resolution work, Floyd will help participants use essential tools, rooted in dignity and belonging, to explore effective community stewardship.

General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
