CSI Regional Improvement Teams as Learners: PA’s System for LEA and School Improvement

The Regional Improvement Team (RIT) members for the Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) Schools will engage with their colleagues about Pennsylvania’s System for LEA and School Improvement. RIT members will discuss their role and approach to working with CSI schools throughout the Cycle of Improvement. An emphasis will be placed on the first two phases of the Cycle of improvement: Phase 1 - Set the Direction and Phase 2 - Assess and Prioritize Needs.
The focus of the work for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Cycle of Improvement will include discussions on the deliverables, timelines, accomplishments, inquiry habits, and process for communication as regional teams. We will also provide details on future face-to-face and virtual RIT meetings. RIT members are encouraged to bring questions, thoughts, and ideas to add to the learning and strength of the work of this group in these sessions and over time!
Objectives
Regional Improvement Team Member will:
• Describe the Pennsylvania’s System for LEA and School Improvement and the importance of their role
• Demonstrate an inquiry perspective* throughout these sessions (*curious, openness, tolerating ambiguity, flexible, adaptable, hopeful, positive)
• Engage in activities to enhance success as a facilitator/member of Regional Improvement Team
• Reflect on their learning to inform their actions as a Regional Improvement Team member
