Data-Informed Decision Making for Focus/Priority Schools

This session will engage participants and further develop skills in the area of data informed decision-making. Participants will be able to interpret PVAAS school level growth reporting, document data findings, transform these data findings into growth goals, and investigate strategies for digging deeper into the root cause of student performance results.

Objectives

  • Identify PVAAS school level growth data
  • List data findings as data statements
  • Define growth goals based on data findings

Target Audience

School Leaders from the Focus/Priority School (This may include a principal or designee, as well as staff providing leadership for continuous school improvement).

District Leaders, PDE Academic Recovery Liaisons (PDE ARLs), and IU Consultants are encouraged to attend with their respective focus/priority schools.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
