This session will prepare educators to provide culturally responsive instruction at the secondary level. With this knowledge base, educational professionals will discuss the importance of design and meaningful delivery of culturally responsive evidence-based practices intended to support all students within an MTSS framework.
Objectives
Participants will be able to :
- articulate culturally responsive evidence-based practices at the secondary level to improve student outcomes.
- formulate a model of culturally responsive strategies at the classroom and school level.
- apply principles of culturally responsive practices to support collaboration among all stakeholders including care-givers.
Target Audience
Secondary general educators, special educators, ESL Coordinators and educators, School Psychs, School Counselors, Social Workers, instructional coaches, TaC, Curriculum and instruction leaders, administrators, care-givers, SLPs, BCBAs, paraprofessionals, other licensed professionals
