This year’s theme highlights the boundless potential of AAC users. Through inspiring stories, innovative strategies, and evidence-based practices, we’ll explore how AAC empowers communication across environments and transitions. National and local experts will share practical tools to support engagement, literacy, and authentic self-expression. Whether you're an educator, therapist, family member, or AAC user, this conference offers valuable insights to enhance language development, communication, and storytelling.

Objectives

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify two effective strategies for communication with AAC users.
  • List two methods to support emergent AAC users in fostering communication skills
  • Describe the benefits of AAC users taking an active role in educating their communities about AAC, disability, and inclusion

Target Audience

Teachers, administrators, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, behavior analysts, teachers of the visually impaired, related services professionals, consultants, training and consultation staff, early interventionists, paraprofessionals, family members, anyone interested in supporting those who need augmentative/alternative communication.
