This session will focus on strategies for school psychologists to support students with mental health needs, including those with internalizing symptoms and complex needs related to school refusal. A panel of experienced school psychologists will share valuable insights into evidence-based practices, successful intervention implementation, and innovative approaches to promoting student mental health and well-being. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in breakout discussions, sharing their thoughts and experiences with panelists and fellow school psychologists.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe strategies to support students with complex mental health needs
  • Identify resources to help school teams improve outcomes for students with complex mental health needs
