It’s Going Around: A Discussion on Roundabouts and Channelized Turn Lanes

Webinar

Session Dates

Wednesday December 11, 2024 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Webinar

Closed

During this networking session, we will focus on newer intersection designs, such as roundabouts and channelized turn lanes, which are rapidly gaining popularity. We will review the basic features of these intersections, discuss access considerations and current regulations, and explore teaching strategies to promote independent travel across these often-challenging intersections. The event will conclude with networking, open discussion, and questions.

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify key features of a roundabout
  • Discuss key features of channelized turn lanes
  • List 2 strategies that will assist students to safely cross turn lanes and roundabouts
