In this session, we will be discussing how children are more likely to display appropriate behavior when they know what is expected of them. It is important for teachers to establish and maintain behavior expectations and rules as part of their proactive classroom management. Join us to learn how to set up behavioral expectations in your setting and learn tips to make your expectations more effective.

Objectives

Participants will:

  1. Define the importance of teaching expectations.
  2. Identify ways to teach expectations in the classroom.
  3. Identify ways to Acknowledge positive behavior.
  4. Describe the importance of promoting engagement with families to support child behavior.

This training is appropriate for Early Childhood teachers, Early Intervention teachers, and all service providers associated with Early Intervention.
