The Framework for Access and Belonging (FAB) represents a renovation of the Supplementary Aids and Services Consideration Toolkit (SaS Toolkit) with an emphasis on collaboration, improved technology, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and follow up planning and evaluation. This session will share how the current SaS toolkit is similar to and different from the new FAB process. We will also review the process for completing the FAB, as well as highlight the tools that were developed to increase focus, efficiency, and collaboration.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:
1. Describe the changes from the SaS toolkit to the new FAB process.
2. Describe the tools and components of each phase of the FAB process.
3. Describe the role of school staff in the FAB process.
