Facilitating Prevent Teach Reinforce for Young Children--This series is designed to prepare Early Childhood professionals to lead a team of colleagues and family members through Functional Behavior Assessment and Positive Behavior Support Planning using the Prevent Teach Reinforce for Young Children process.
Objectives
Participants will:
- List the 5 steps of the PTR-YC process
- Plan strategies for engaging families in the PTR-YC process with a team of professionals that support their child
- Locate and describe all PTR-YC tools for implementation
- Coach team members to implement behavior plan strategies and make data-based decisions about implementation effectiveness.
Target Audience
This session is intended for early childhood professionals who have a basic understanding of behavioral principles and who anticipate leading teams of professionals through the PTR-YC process. Likely job roles include Early Interventionists, behavior consultants/behavior specialists, preschool psychologists, social workers, mental health consultants, etc.
