This session will provide a brief overview of the tenets of PA’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Cross-disciplinary teams will then have the opportunity to use a fidelity tool to evaluate strengths and needs relative to current implementation and contextual issues.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Describe the core tenets of MTSS and the differences between MTSS and RTI
- Identify MTSS framework components and characteristics of fidelity of implementation associated with each component
- Explain relative strengths and needs of their current MTSS model and specific action steps for enhancing student outcomes
