Within the settings of home or classroom, this session will define what sharing looks like and when sharing should be expected of young children. Participants will work collaboratively to define their expectations and prepare to teach young children to share.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Identify and describe the differences between sharing and taking turns.
  • Define and create guidance for deciding when sharing is required and when it is an option for children.
  • Identify and plan materials and activities that provide practice with sharing that they can use immediately in their work.
