Monday November 01, 2021 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM - Webinar
This presentation will cover the wording from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) related to the assessment of children for speech language impairments. It will then cover the principles for selecting assessment tools that meet the standards set forth by federal and state regulations. Speech Language assessment will be looked at from an evidence-based practice perspective that marries the current best practices in aligning the purpose for assessment with the data necessary to support that purpose.
Participants will be able to:
- identify what the law mandates in terms of assessment.
- identify the evidence needed to support the use of assessments for each of the law’s assessment mandates.
- provide options for non-norm-reference tests that address the mandates of the IDEA
