In this Professional Learning Community (PLC), participants will build upon the knowledge gained through the online Family Guided Routines Based Intervention (FGRBI) modules and the Applying Knowledge webinars. Each session will focus on a set of FGRBI Key Indicators and how to integrate those into practice. Participants will then demonstrate their use of those practices while coaching a family. Demonstrations can be shared during the next PLC meeting for review and analysis by the group in order for all participants to apply principles into everyday practice.

Objectives

Participants will:

• Build upon the knowledge gained through the online Family Guided Routines Based Intervention modules and the Applying Knowledge webinars
• Apply the content to their practices systematically
• Demonstrate how to use video for sharing examples of FGRBI Key Indicators recorded during sessions with families
• Demonstrate how to complete a video review to evaluate current skills and abilities

Target Audience

Early Interventionists, Early Intervention SLPS, OTs, PTs who have completed the FGRBI and Caregiver Coaching online modules, and the Applying Knowledge Webinars Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event.
