This series is intended to improve skills of educational interpreters working in Pennsylvania schools. Trainings target current topics in the field of interpreting and sign language skills needed for effective instruction of students who are deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language. Topics include Visual Linguistic Access to Foster Proficiency in ASL and English, Deliberate Practice, Theory of Mind, and more.

Target Audience

  • Educational Sign Language Interpreters and Interveners who provide interpreting services in Pennsylvania K-12 classrooms.
  • Teachers of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing who have at least intermediate American Sign Language Skills.

Topics Covered: Educational Interpreters

The training will hold a maximum of 50 attendees.  Anyone who registers after the 50 seats have been filled will be put on a waiting list.  Training is open to Educational Interpreters who work in Pennsylvania schools.
