This P2G professional learning community webinar series is being offered during the upcoming school year to support the family liaison and family representatives of each LEA team. The PLC is designed to inform participants about the important role family engagement plays in student success. This series will share research and strategies around improving family engagement for Middle School Success: Path to Graduation (P2G) teams. Presentations will focus on collaboration, communication and building a culture of respect with families to ensure teams recognize that sharing P2G data and intervention strategies offered to students will help the families supporting them.
Objectives
- Describe the correlation between family engagement and student success
- List strategies that can improve family engagement
- Identify key factors that can be barriers to improving family engagement
