2021-22 Virtual Discussion Series: Self-Determination/Self-Advocacy for Elementary Learners

This discussion will focus on teaching practices for learners who are visually impaired and working on self-determination and/or self-advocacy skills at the elementary level.
Participants will be able to:
- Explain the importance of self-advocacy/self-determination instruction at the elementary level for learners who are visually impaired.
- Identify three or more resources that can help support instruction of self-advocacy and self-determination.
- Describe what self-determination and self-advocacy for visually impaired elementary learners entails.
