In this series, participants will review and apply content from Family Guided Routines Based Intervention (FGRBI) and Caregiver Coaching online learning modules. These interactive modules are designed to expand the knowledge of the principles and practices that interdisciplinary early intervention providers use when coaching caregivers.

During this training, participants will review the module content with an emphasis on coaching caregivers to embed intervention of the children’s learning priorities within their everyday routines. Interactive video review and analysis, discussion, exercises and personal reflections will be used to apply content to practice. The FGRBI Key Indicators Manual will guide application discussions and activities.

Participants will:

  1. Identify the connection between Family Guided Routines Based Intervention (FGRBI) and Caregiver Coaching
  2. Identify how the components of Setting the Stage, Observation and Opportunities to Embed, Problem Solving and Planning, and Reflection and Review (SS-OO-PP-RR) provide a framework for integrating the principles and practices of FGRBI during home visiting with family members and caregivers
  3. Learn about the FGRBI Key Indicators and their relationship to fidelity of implementation
  4. Identify how to apply FGRBI Key Indicators in home visits with families and caregivers
