This course will provide resources and guidance to build capacity and provide support for advanced tiered providers (reading specialists, interventionists and coaches) as they make decisions around appropriate levels of tiered instruction using Enhanced Core Reading Instruction. By the end of this course, participants will (a) be able to describe various data sources used in data-based decision making (b) understand how to collect and analyze data to inform instructional adjusments, and (c) be able to apply ECRI instructional plans to continually support students during ECRI instruction and intervention.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • List and describe the essential features of six various ECRI Instructional Plans to support instructional needs of students.
  • Define and describe how to use universal screening data, progress monitoring data, and mastery data to determine program placement for ECRI.
  • Identify ways to provide continuous needs-based support for ECRI instruction and intervention

2021-2022 MTSS Enhancing Early Literacy Outcomes within Tiered Systems (EELO) Series Cohort Members as relevant to their roles and team leader's directives.
