Young children are driven to learn how the world works. They learn best when you follow their lead and use everyday experiences to teach important concepts. This session will identify a set of cognitive processes know as executive functioning skills, that are crucial for learning.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify how cognitive development unfolds.
- List ways to support cognitive development in young children.
- Identify the critical role of executive functioning in cognitive and overall development.
Target Audience
This training is intended for Early Intervention service personnel/providers, early childhood education professionals, and parents.
