This professional development opportunity will present evidence-based practices to provide guidance for successful implementation of language and literacy instruction for Multilingual Learners in an MTSS Framework. Emphasis will build on the premise that language is dynamic and not static for elementary students.

  • Analyze the complexity of language and literacy development for Multilingual Learners
  • Connect the WIDA English Language Development Standards to the components of the Scarborough Rope
  • Explore evidence-based practices for Multilingual Learners within an MTSS framework
