Everyday routines at home, in early education and care programs, and in the community offer thousands of opportunities to support children’s early learning and brain development. They also provide natural opportunities for children to learn important skills. This session will focus on supporting early learning through everyday routines in early education and care settings, in order to support preschool implementation of the Coaching Across Settings initiative.
Objectives
Participants will:
- identify 5 strategies to support early learning in the context of everyday routines.
- identify 3 processes that shape children's brain development and early learning.
- define and develop a plan for embedding instruction into everyday routines.
Target Audience
Preschool and Infant Toddler Early Intervention staff and Early Childhood Education staff working in early childhood settings across Pennsylvania including Head Start, Early Head Start, and Pre-K Counts.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Molly Martz, at 717-901-2151, or
