Participants will be introduced to, and provided guidance on, delivering inclusive practices training to staff from early childhood programs across Pennsylvania. Participants will utilize training materials including trainer's guide and activity files for the following Collaborating for Inclusive Classroom Practices in Early Childhood course: Focus on Attitudes and Beliefs. Participants will have opportunities to reflect on how their individual attitudes and beliefs were developed and how they impact their practice, their colleagues and the service system.

Objectives

Participants will:

  1. Explore attitudes and beliefs about early childhood inclusion
  2. Identify and describe the benefits of inclusion for all children
  3. Describe the perceptions of disabilities and the effect on quality inclusion

Target Audience

This training is intended for those who provide training to OCDEL Early Childhood Education and Early Intervention programs and staff. Participants must have previously completed the Training of Trainers for Working Together.
